A wide spectrum of activists met to surround the building, the Maritim Hotel in Berlin, and to demand the immediate shutdown of all nuclear plants and to give a clear NO to the withdrawal from the nuclear phaseout.

| 03.03.2009 - Close to the Berlin building of the Allianz insurance giant three female activists climbed the large sculpture "Molecule Men" to unroll several banners protesting against the plans of the huge electricity corporation RWE to build new nuclear power stations. As RWE's biggest single stockholder, Allianz has considerable influence on its actions. |

Das Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz
ist eine organisatorisch selbständige wissenschaftlich - technische Bundesoberbehörde im Geschäftsbereich des Bundesministeriums für Umwelt, Naturschutz und Reaktorsicherheit. Gegründet wurde das BfS am 01.11.1989 mit dem Ziel, Kompetenzen auf den Gebieten Strahlenschutz, kerntechnische Sicherheit, Transport und Verwahrung von Kernbrennstoffen sowie Endlagerung radioaktiver Abfälle zu bündeln (Gesetz über die Errichtung eines Bundesamtes für Strahlenschutz vom 9. Oktober 1989 BGBl. I S. 1830). Dafür wurden bestehende Einrichtungen an verschiedenen Standorten in das Bundesamt integriert

Greenpeace kämpft seit 30 Jahren für den Atomausstieg. Die Erzeugung von Atomenergie birgt gewaltige Risiken für Mensch und Umwelt, zudem gibt es nach wie vor keine Lösung für das Atommüllproblem. Atomkraft - nein danke!

Baeuerliche Notgemeinschaft
Die "Bäuerliche Notgemeinschaft" ist seit 1977 eine der tragenden Säulen der wendländischen Anti-Atom-Bewegung: Wann immer Atommülltransporte durch den Landkreis rollen, rollen Traktoren ihnen entgegen. Für die Staatsmacht sind sie kein unüberwindbares Hindernis - aber ein eindrucksvolles Bild dafür, dass die wendländische Anti-Atom-Bewegung nicht aus "Chaoten" und "Autonomen", aus "Berufsdemonstranten" und "linken Staatsfeinden" besteht, wie Politik und Wirtschaft gebetsmühlenartig wiederholen. Sondern zum grössten Teil aus Menschen, die hier leben. Die das Wendland als ihre Heimat empfinden. Die ihre Heimat schützen wollen vor der Zerstörung durch eine katastrophale Atompolitik.
