While the last CASTOR casks were being loaded off the train onto low-loader trucks, in the village of Grippel members of a Wendland farmers' anti-nuclear group locked themselves to special pyramids of reinforced concrete. Detaching the protesters from the obstacle massively delayed the waste convoy's run to Gorleben because there was no way through other than the very narrow Grippel passage.
