interview with Darwin Dante, author of the book "the five hour week". dante explains that it would be sufficient if everybody worked five hours a week. this amount of time would be enough for securing the very standard of living for everybody (globally) that was valid in the FRG during the 1980s. In principal, the calculation is based on the assumptions that 1.) work that has to do with monetary transactions is dropped, that 2.) long-lasting goods are produced and 3.) more people participate in the production of goods.
