GREECE: HEALTH CARE AND CRISIS

please translate the description: Explanations:

-GSEE: The General Confederation of Unions
-Distance between Thessaloniki and Kilkis: more than 50 klm.
-Troika: IMF, EU, ECB.
-In the documentary, mention is made about people who retire and are not replaced. This has to do with the fact that the Troika forced a specific arrangement, under which there will be a reduction of public employees. The measures demanded that for every 5 public employees who leave (either through retirement or else) only one will be employed. Later on that was changed to: for every 10 who leave, one will be employed. Interestingly enough, the measure did not specify that the one new employee should be employed in the same sector as the ones who leave. So, at the moment, for every public employee who retires, the state only hires new people at the security forces (i.e. cops).
-"Epishesi": When the employer fails to pay the wages to the employee for a significant amount of time, the employee has the right to start an "epishesi". This means that he/she is entitled to tell the employer that they will no longer work, until the money owed is paid. As a result, the employer not only has to pay for the money owed, but also for all the time that the employee is in "epishesi". At the time of "epishesi", the employee is not only entitled not to work, but can also find work elsewhere to support themselves.
-Protocol: in Greece this refers to the management offices.
-Local institutions: parents' school associations, local businesses associations, trade unions, etc.

The cycle of struggles in the logistics sector in Italy
Through militant strikes over the last four years, the mostly migrant workforce in the logistics sector in Italy have managed to substantially improve their working conditions. Treated with violent arrogance and regularly defrauded out of a part of their salary in the past, they've now won 'normal' working conditions in most workplaces.

Because of these achievements, more and more workers are ... more

Greek hospital under workers' control
"The occupation of our hospital in Kilkis by its workers started on Monday, February 20th, 8:30 local time.
This occupation is not only about us, the physicians and the workers at the Kilkis Hospital. Neither is it only about the Greek National Health System, which is collapsing, indeed. We are in this fight because what is in real danger now is the human rights and our lives."
