United Aliens has been taking part in the Rainbow Parade (CSD parade) from the outset. Since that time, many things have changed to the better for gays and lesbians in Austria. This development is also reflected in a certain contentment of the protesters. For example, the abolishment of § 209 of the Austrian penal code by the Supreme Court for constitutional cases. However, real equality is still out of sight. A so-called "Civil Pact" (in lieu of a classic marriage) has still not been introduced, not even in the "role model" Vienna. This has been impressively demonstrated by the performance group H.A.P.P.Y.
