The Free Republic's fourth edition - as usual, a wild party and a political demonstration at once. Not a parade any longer, the 2004 techno event takes place on the historical Karlsplatz (Charles' Square) in Vienna's city center. Some of the many messages the rally was attempting to get across:
pro pluralistis and free media - no to dominant news corporations
pro abolition of deportation jails, social security, free access to education
pro free space for youth culture – no to criminalization of youth culture
pro self-responsability and the right to intoxication.
