The civic movement COCIDIRAIL fights for the return of rail line Dakar - Bamako, privatized in 2001. Dr. Tiecoura Traoré, rail unionist, had been discharged after the privatization by the new proprietor, the French Canadian enterprise TransRail, and is now head of COCIDIRAIL.
