April, 02. 2006, Bogota - Gianni Tognioni, general secretary of the Permanent Tribunal by the People, reads the first part of the decision of the jury. While the collaboration of the paramilitaries and the Colombian state is proven, the collaboration of the transnational corporations with the paramilitaries is much more difficult to prove. But Tognioni designates mutiple documents, which make such a collaboration obvious. He emphasises that the corporations have failed to denounce the crimes and also failed to stand up for the protection of the workers in all cases.
